Spanish I:
  • Students received a new bell work. This will be turned in on Friday.
  • Student reviewed how to use the comparison words: más que, menos que, tan como, tanto como.
  • Students learned when to use saber or conocer:
Grammar notes:

There are two verbs in Spanish that mean "to know". You use "conocer" to say that you know people or places. you use "saber" to say that you know facts or how to do something.

Yo conozco a María. =  I know Maria. You MUST use the "a" before the person's name.
Yo conozco Paris. = I know Paris (the city).
Yo sé tocar el piano. = I know how to play the piano.
Yo sé donde está Paris. = I know where Paris is (located).

IMPORTANT:

  • The 3,2 vocab quiz is divided into two parts. The first part is tomorrow. The second part is this Friday.
  • The 3.2 test is divided into two parts. The first part (listening and reading comprehension, multiple choice and short answers) is this Friday. The second part (the oral and writing prompts) is on Monday, June 4th.
  • The Spanish I final is divided into two parts. The first part (listening and reading comprehension, multiple choice and short answers) is Thursday, June 7th. The second part (the oral and writing prompts) is on Friday, June 8th

4th Grade Spanish:
  • Students continued working on their country project.
