viernes, el diciséis de diciembre

Spanish I:

  • Students had an end of the year celebration.
The only homework over the break is to begin to study for the midterm on January 17th.

jueves, el quince de diciembre

Spanish I:

  • Students reviewed the -ar verb endings, and did book exercises #7, 8 and 9. Due tomorrow.
4th Grade Spanish:
  • Students learned how to write the day in Spanish. Their homework over the break is to write down the day every day:
  • Hoy es lunes. = Today is Monday.

miércoles, el catorce de diciembre

Spanish I:

  • Students went over how to conjugate regular AR verbs.

3rd Grade:
  • Students reviewed the days of the week, and learned how to say what day it is. Their homework over the break is to write down the day every day:

  • Students went over the 1.3 unit test, so that they can retake it when they are ready.
4th grade Spanish:
  • Students went over the days of the week in Spanish and made flash cards for them.

Spanish I:

  • Students had a vocabulary quiz on 2.1
  • Students received vocabulary packets and practice quizzes for the Spanish midterm in January. They should start studying for these right away.
IMPORTANT:
  • The Spanish midterm is in January at the end of the term, and will cover everything from 1.1,1.2,1.3, and 2.1.


3rd grade Spanish:
  • Students began a new unit on the days of the week in Spanish. they learned a song about them, and learned facts about Spanish calendars and days of the week.
  • Vocabulary: lunes = Monday martes = Tuesday miércoles = Wednesday jueves = Thursday viernes = Friday sábado = Saturday domingo = Sunday IMPORTANT:
    • Days of the week do not have a capital letter, and the calendar week begins on Monday, not Sunday.

2) Go to the left-hand side and go to Spanish (book)
3) Find your book En Español 1 (make sure you do not got to En Español 2 or 3)
4) Practice your vocabulary by using the games or the word practice

Spanish I:
  • Students had their 1.3 unit test today (except for 2nd hour who did not have Spanish today, and will have their test tomorrow).
  • Students had a practice sheet for the next vocabulary quiz on 2.1
4th Grade Spanish:
  • Students had a test on the numbers 1-31. The results will be on their report cards. Student who do badly on this test can retake it any time they want. Tests will be sent home before the break.

Spanish I:
  • Students went over a review worksheet for the 1.3 test.
  • 2nd hour will now have their test on Wednesday, Dec 7th (because of the Explore test tomorrow morning).
  • 4th-7th hour will now have their test tomorrow.
3rd grade Spanish:
  • Students practiced the numbers 1-31 for the test, which they will have this Wednesday.
