Spanish 7: Sections 2 and 4 had the vocabulary quiz today. They can retake it at any lunchtime of their choice.

Sections 1, 3, and 5 went over the vocabulary quiz and got it back. They can retake it at any lunchtime of their choice.
Grammar Lesson today: Family relationships, pronouns, and the verb "tener":
  • family relationships
There is no apostrophe in Spanish, so you have to change the order of the words.
Ana es la madre de Francisco. = Ana is Francisco's mother. (Ana is the mother of Francisco)
  • pronouns
Singular                                 Plural
Yo = I                                   Nosotros (as) = We
Tú = you (familiar)                 Vosotros (as) = You (familiar, only used in Spain)
Él = He                                  Ellos = They
Ella = She                              Ellas = They (only girls)
Usted = You (formal)             Ustedes = You (formal in Spain, formal and familiar in other Spanish-speaking
                                                                        countries)
  • the verb "tener" = to have
Yo tengo                             Nosotros tenemos
Tú tienes                              Vosotros tenéis
Él/Ella/Usted tiene                Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes tienen
