lunes, el once de marzo

Don't forget that we are going to Chicago this Friday. Be here at 5:30 am!! Students staying behind will be working on restaurant skits.

Spanish I:
  • We went over the 2.2 test so that students could see what mistakes they made. They will be correcting them on Wednesday this week at the lab.
Homework:
  • The 2.3 (part 2) vocab sheet is due Thursday, March 21st when we have the next quiz.
Quiz:
  • The next quiz on 2.3 (part 2) vocab sheet is on Thursday, March 21st.
3rd Grade Spanish:
  • Students had a surprise quiz on numbers 1-31. those who knew the numbers already will not have to take the test. Those who got some wrong, will take their practice sheet home to study them. They will have the numbers test in a few weeks.
Homework:
  • Students have a new homework sheet to write the date every day. It will be due on Monday.
    Spanish Calendar vocabulary

    Giving the date in Spanish:
    1)  Remember that days of the week and months are NOT capitalized.
    2)  The order of the words is different in Spanish:
                      Thnumber comes first, and the month comes last.

    Example:
    Hoy es martes, el veintiséis de octubre = Today is Tuesday, October 26th.
    (Write out the number word e.g. “veintiséis”, not 26)

viernes, el ocho de marzo

Spanish I:
  • Students went to the lab today and practiced their 2.3 vocabulary, for the 2.3 quiz (part 2) on Thursday, March 21st.
Homework:
  • Students received the new 2.3 (part 2) packet worksheet, either yesterday or on Wednesday. It is due Thursday, March 21st.
Quiz:
  • The 2.3 quiz (part 2) is on Thursday, March 21st.
5th Grade Spanish:
  • Today is the first time I have the 5th grade class in almost a month, because of holidays, snow days, and the 5th grade camp.
  • We reviewed how to write the date, and I collected the homework that was assigned before the winter break. They will get a new homework sheet due next Friday.
  • Students worked on a number worksheet.
  • In a few weeks time, they will have a test on the days of the week, the months, and numbers up to 31.

Today was a half day, so there was no Spanish classes in the afternoon. I only had 1st and 2nd hours.

Spanish I:

  • Students worked on the next 2.3 vocab packet (part 2). There is no due date for this yet. It will be in about two weeks when they have their 2.3 (part 20 quiz.

  • They had the 2.3 quiz (part 1). 
3rd grade Spanish:
  • Students finished their number flashcards and worked on a number worksheet.

Spanish I:

  • We went over the study guide and all that they need to know for the 2.2 test tomorrow.

Homework:
  • The 2.3 vocab packet passed out several weeks ago is due this Wednesday. This includes the sentences that need to be written for each vocabulary word.
Quiz/Tests:
  • The 2.2 chapter test is tomorrow.
  • The 2.3 quiz (part 1) is this Wednesday.
3rd Grade Spanish:
  • Students did their number flash cards or worked on their number worksheet.
  • No homework today.

Spanish I:

IMPORTANT:
  • The 2.2 test has been moved to Tuesday, March 5th
  • The 2.3 quiz has been moved to Wednesday, March 6th

  • Today students went over the study guide passed out on Monday.
  • We reviewed using question words, and students worked on making and answering questions.
Homework:
  • Final study guide for 2.2  Due on Monday, March 4th. We will go over it on Monday.
  • The 2.3 vocabulary packet and sentences are now due on Wednesday, March 6th.
Spanish 5th grade:
  • Most 5th graders are at camp. Those who came to class today watched a Spanish video.
